NYX HD studio grinding blushes [review w/ swatches!!]

HELLO GUYS!!

I have been wanting to do this review since forever.

So this is all about the
NYX HD photogenic studio grinding blushes
in HDGB04 english rose and HDGB08 menage a trois !!

PIGMENTATION
These are not super pigmented.
Actually, they are on the sheer side.
They are buildable though,
so you can definitely build up the shade.

BLENDABILITY
This literally melts into my skin,
so it's super blendable.

SHADES
HDGB04 english rose: a shimmerless sheer barbie pink shade
HDGB08 menage a trois: [aside from the weird -to say the least- name] a gorgeous coral peach that leans on the orange side, with a hint of pink and gorgeous gold glowy shimmer.

PACKAGING
A bit on the bulky side.
Sleek black packaging
Obviously, you have to grind the powder blush to get the product out.
I quite like the whole concept,
pretty cool.
There is also a mirror at the top of the lid once you unscrew it and if you peel off the plastic.

HOW I APPLY IT
I use my Sigma F80 brush to apply this.
I first grind the blush,
I work it against my brush and apply it to the apples of my cheeks.

BOTTOM LINE
I definitely like these quite a lot, and I use them quite frequently,
but I wouldn't recommend them for darker skintones,
due to their sheer consistency,
and also for those who don't like sheer blushes,
I would skip on this one.
Fair skinned ladies, this might be your future HG product.
At $16.50 a piece, these babies are pricey,
so I'd recommend the powder blushes from NYX if you're on a tight budget.
As for being "HD" I did not find any particular difference from this one to other blushes.
On a side note..
I did not take them with me for summer [we live at a beach house during summer]
just because I found these bulkier to carry than the nyx powder blushes.

HAUL!! St Moriz Instant Self Tanning Mousse in Dark !

Hello guys!!

I have been wanting to experiment with self tanners since forever.
And even though I live in sunny Malta I work all the time so
I don't have time to tan.
Aside from that,
I have been getting super self conscious about skin cancer
and all skin harm from tanning.

I got myself the Roche Posay Bronzing Lotion,
and I finished that, but I wanted to experiment some more.
And this was an awesome product to try,
since everyone raves about it.

So here's the actual product:

Thanks for reading guys and
thank you for your endless support xx

ELF regular line / essentials liquid eyeliner in black !!

Hello gorgeous ones!!

Today's review is going to be all about
ELF regular line / essentials liquid eyeliner in black

PACKAGING
I don't really like the packaging.
I usually like my liquid liners in a big tube and a smaller wand.
It's not bad,
and it doesn't really bother me,
but it's not my cup of tea.

WAND
 The tip is quite stiff,
and I quite like how sturdy it is,
but I think it is not the most appropriate wand to go with this product
It's a sponge, so I quite like that,
I prefer sponges to brushes
as I find them easier to control

TEXTURE
Quite runny,
Slow drying,
a little sheer in intensity

LASTING POWER
Not so good.
It lasts 3-4 hours as it is, then it starts fading
and tearing
and what not.

SMUDGING
It doesn't really smudge,
but it definitely is not smudge proof,
in the sense that
if you rub the product it WILL fade quite easily.

WATERPROOF
 Well,
it's waterproof.
Unless you decide to gently rub it while wet.
But since the product already comes off while dry with smudging.
This didn't surprise me.

SHADE
It's quite an intense shade of black,
but it's a little too sheer for my liking.
And it's not buildable because you might end up dragging the product around
as you're reapplying.
Glossy finish. Don't like that.

PIGMENTATION
Quite pigmented,
I think there is just too much water in the formula.

APPLICATION
I found it quite hard to apply my liner with this.
It was hard to even the eyes out and took ages.

FINISH
 Glossy.
I don't like glossy finishes,
I think they look too fake.

BOTTOM LINE
I'd skip on this if I were you and stock up on ELF's cream liner in black.

Wet n Wild Color Icon Single Eyeshadow in Brulee [review w/ swatches]!!

Hello guys!!

Today's review is all about:
Wet n Wild Color Icon Single Eyeshadow in Brulee

I heard so many things about this eyeshadow that I just HAD to get it.
Kandee Johnson always raved about MAC's brule eyeshadow as a base for the eyes.
I have read on reviews and stuff that wet n wild's eyeshadow is highly similar,
except it's slightly more pink toned, whereas MAC's brule is more yellow toned,
and that MAC's has a sheen to it,
and Wet n Wild is totally matte.

At first I didn't quite like it,
I used it as a base on the eye and a little NYX dark brown in the crease.
It might look good on fair skin ladies.
But not on me.
So what do I use this for?
A. As a base over primer before I apply all eyeshadows for a neutral eye.
B. On the browbone and innercorner of the eye, for a subtle highlight.

The packaging is a little of a pain to open,
but that's okay.
This has awesome lasting power and the greatest pigmentation.
I'll definitely repurchase,
and there's already a good ol' dent in the pan.

I definitely recommend this,
I only wish wet n wild was available in shops here in Malta or accessible online except for ebay.
I just purchased the Wet n Wild Color Icon Single Eyeshadow in Penny and Nutty too.
I also got the Greed Color Icon Palette.
But they're still on the way to mama.
I hit pan on this within 2 months.. and I won't repurchase yet because I ordered 2 nyx single eyeshadows which might be something similar to this, if not, I'll definitely repurchase this shade.

Thanks for reading,
and buh-bye
till the next post - which will be up in like.. 5-10 minutes..

till then,
thank you for reading :D

ELF hypershine lipgloss in bubble gum [review w/ swatches] !!

Hello guys!!

Today I'm going to review ELF' hypershine lipgloss in bubble gum.

It's one of ELF's newest shades in a gloss,
and I definitely think it's worth checking out.

PACKAGING
Brush applicator.
Twist up packaging.
It can be a little messy when closing because the brush tip would still have product on.
The brush also works great as a lip brush,
so once the product is done,
you can definitely use this as a lip brush.

TEXTURE
A little on the sticky side, but not runny.
I wouldn't say they're super sticky,
but it's definitely "I hope my hair doesn't get stuck to it" sticky.

SMELL
Hate the smell.
It's like a sugary minty smell.
ELF describes it as "cotton candy"
It's more of a sweetener type of sweet kind of smell.
Definitely artificial.
Hate it.
It's not disgusting or anything like that,
it's just not a smell I like.

SHADE
This is a baby pink nude shimmerless shade.
It's quite sheer for my taste,
in the swatches I used quite some product,
so to get that shade you might have to use quite a lot
Has white undertones
Something I imagine Kim Kardashian would wear.
Gorgeous over a nude gloss, for a pinky hue.

FINISH
glossy finish.

BOTTOM LINE
I'd definitely repurchase if there are corally shades, or some unique shades that I don't have.
I wouldn't repurchase shades that I think are similar to what I have, because I like sponge tip applicators.

NYX mosaic blush in love [review w/ swatches!!]

Hello guys!!

I don't know if you remember THIS post where I showed what the lovely NYX staff sent to me,
one of the items they sent was the mosaic blush in love.

I had my eye on this..
but I refrained from buying it for some reason.

I am SO glad I got this though. I have been using this almost everyday these past two weeks.

This is a must have coral blush, dare I say,
the four shades together have the perfect amount of shimmer,
orangeness,
and blendability.
As a fan of coral/ peach blushes -
this is one of my ultimate favourites

The shades vary from peach toned corals to orange toned to brown-coral.
The shades mixed together produce a gorgeous orange- based coral shade with subtle gold shimmer.
This is definitely one of my favourite all time blushes.

TEXTURE
Less powdery than the NYX powder blushes
but equally pigmented.
Very smooth

BLENDABILITY
Very blendable,
I apply this with my Sigma F80 flat top brush.

PACKAGING
Very sleek,
round and cute

LASTING POWER
A little more than the NYX powder blushes,
I would say it lasts 5-6 hours.

PIGMENTATION
Just the perfect pigmentation I like in my blush.
Highly buildable too.

BOTTOM LINE.
I adore this. I definitely recommend this shade to all coral/ orange/ peach blush lovers.
I think this looks better on tanned skin.
Other than that, the mosaic blush in general is seriously gorgeous.
LOVE IT!!
