Dyna's Beauty Vanity Lab video !

I'm just posting to tell you about my recently uploaded video,
I forgot to post this on here..
I uploaded the video around a week ago
(I know - shame on me!)

I hope you find it helpful guys!!

ELF studio body glow [review w/ swatches!!]

I have been meaning to review this product for a while..
I wanted to fully test it out first though.
First of all,
I need to say that I did not pay for this product,
I got it for free in a beauty bundle I got for making it to the TOP 10
in the Beauty Editor's Shoes Competition.

But it was on my wishlist anyway, so most probably I would have gotten this anyway.

I don't own anything like it, and I do find it rather interesting.

Celebrities apply shimmer all the time on the chest and shoulders..
and this is the right product for that.

This has chunks of glitter in it.. and it looks really pretty on the skin,
It has a golden hue to it,
and it looks great on the skin.

I quite like it,
and I do recommend it for a night out clubbing.

I tried using this as a highlight, I found it way too glittery for use on the face.

I hope you found this helpful guys, let me know what you think below,

I broke my make up ban.

Yes I did.
I broke my make up ban.
I had to finish 10 products before I buy anything else,
but I couldn't help but be drawn to the freshly set up stand at Health Plus at our University.

So I got a couple of products I couldn't find available on the stand at Tony's when
it was initially set up back in March.

I only got a couple of items..
so I still managed to control myself, in my defence.
Well, I kind of did.

Plus. including the products I had finished before and set aside for my
Products I finished video..[Note to self: I really need to film that!]
I exceeded the 10 product-mark.
so I kind of broke the makeup ban,
but I do have my 10 finished products.
[I'm just sayin']

So I got:

Catrice Absolute Eye Colour in #090 Bring Me Frosted Cake
This is the eyeshadow I believe Nina from Nina's Bargain Beauty.
I remember Nina once told me there was a cream shade she really loved and uses all the time for blending,
so I decided to get this one, because it seemed like the shade she was talking about.
This is a matte light cream shade, perfect for highlighting and blending. Quite sheer.

Catrice Absolute Eye Colour in #500 Hip Hop on the Tree Top
AMAZING COLOUR. I was so bummed this was unavailable when I went to Tony's a few months back,
so as soon as I saw this available,
I just had to snatch this up.
I had to.
It is a beautiful matte dark mossy green.
so amazingly pigmented!

Catrice Ultimate Colour Lipstick in #130 Frozen Rose
This is the colour everyone seems to go crazy for.
I'm not sure if I really like it or not,
it's a nude milky baby pink,
I usually don't like baby pinks.
It has no shimmer, and I love the texture,
definitely great to highlight the centre of a pink pout though.

Essence My skin caring cleansing wipes
I wanted some handy wipes,
and I had already tried the Essence green-ish packaging ones.
I didn't like those ..
so I decided to try these lot out.
Haven't opened them yet.

Essence eyeshadow brush
Never saw this on the stand before,
but I can never have enough eyeshadow brushes,
so yeah I just grabbed it.
Pretty decent brush, not too stiff,
not too dense, and soft.
 I quite like it.

Essence lash and brow gel mascara
I bought two of these.
I run out of my ELF wet gloss lash and brow mascara pretty quick,
so I decided to try these babies out.

Essence quattro eyeshadow in #05 to die for
I got the neutral colours palette..
so I'm sure I'll get a lot of use out of this.

 Nivea SOS lip relief
My most used product this month! For sure..
I had dreadful chapped lips and this is better than any other lip balm I tried.

Catrice moisture and shine smoothing lip gloss in 050 Naturally Pink and 060 Coralista
2 awesome sheer and moisturising glosses,
2 very pretty colours, love them!

Catrice powder brush
A very similar brush to the Catrice blush brush, slightly bigger and wider.
I got this for bronzer.
Love it!

Essence nail colour in 01 Midnight Date
I'm so obsessed with blues lately..
check out the future nail swatch of it,
I truly like this nail polish.

Catrice nail lacquer in something green?

I'm not sure of the nail colour, I sort of can't find it ..
seems like a pretty colour :)

So yeah. I officially broke my makeup ban.
Don't judge me.

Through the Looking Glass: hand made accessories !

I'm jam-packed with uni stuff to do [*sad face*]
I have my exams starting 1st June and 3 assignment deadlines before that.
Talk about stress and all.

I recently got contacted by Through the Looking Glass
she's just a very sweet girl and she asked me if I was interested in reviewing some of her products.

Given that I LOVE costume jewellery,
I definitely wanted to try some of her range.

In all honesty I was expecting ebay quality products,
I was wrong though,
the products seem to be done very passionately,
and very professionally,
with a great eye to detail
I love that!

What else do I honestly love?
A. they come in the cutest holders ever! Seriously these would make great presents,
talk about not needing to wrap the stuff [I'm a terrible wrapper, you see]
B. They have a hand made thingy attached to each label.
Don't ask why, I LOVE it though!

The accessories themselves seem very cute and I'll definitely enjoy using them..
I'll just leave you to see the photos ..

and I'm off to continue..

Let me know what you think guys :)
I'll review these fully .. in a seperate post :)

ELF studio lip stain in red carpet [review w/ swatches] !!

I have another ELF product review today.
I know a lot of you tend to like my ELF reviews,
so I love to feature ELF products in my posts,
and I know it's available in a lot of countries so I like letting you know what I think about their products.

I featured this in my recent HITS AND MISSES video:

Today's spotlight is on the ELF studio lip stain in red carpet:

Pretty Sleek,
almost Nars looking.
on one end there's the stain.
On the other there's the gloss.
 Very portable.

The stain: Quite creamy. Almost like a liquid lipstick. Dries matte.
The gloss: Very liquidy, greasy and sloppy. It's like gloss mixed with water. I don't like it.

I'll be talking about the stain because the gloss is clear.
Very highly pigmented.
Just like liquid lipstick.
This is not a gloss, I promise you.

This does not have the lastign power of a stain.
It has the staying power of a matte lipstick, which is good too.
But don't expect it to stay there all day.

A bright red with pink undertones.
I personally don't like the shade.
I prefer orangey reds or even better - neutrals.
But this looked great on my Mum so it's definitely not a product I'm going to throw out.

on my mama's gorgeous lips

Great product,
unfortunately I didn't like the shade on me.
The gloss isn't good though.
The actual stain, aka matte lipstick is pretty good though.

I hope you found this helpful ladies,
let me know what you think :)

Catrice Absolute Eye Colour in OMG I want that! [review w/ swatches!!]

I apologise for the overload of Catrice reviews lately..
but I've been trying a lot of their stuff
and I'm AMAZED by the quality of this brand..
they have some seriously great stuff..

The spotlight today is on the OMG I WANT THAT! palette
from the Absolute Eye Colour range :D

Sleek plastic packaging,
have not had any problems,
and you can see the eyeshadows through it.

They are creamy generally speaking.
But the lightest shade is seriously chalky ..
and the black one is slightly powdery.
The brown and green shades are very silky and smoothe though.

They lasted all day without a base,
just a primer on me.

Very nicely pigmented.

A sheer yellow brown with a golden metallic sheen.
A matte black with blue and silver sparkle
A sheer metallic olive green shade
A frosty golden-yellow highlight shade

I like to initially use the black shade all over the lid
and then layer that with the brown shade,
layer that with the green shade
and use the highlight shade on the inner tear duct..
For the most gorgeous smokey eye

I'm wearing a asmokey eye using this palette in my hair cutting tutorial :)

I seriously love this palette.
Definitely worth getting if you're a fan of smokey eyes,
I wish the creamy highlight shade wasn't as chalky..

I hope you liked this review guys,
till the next post,
take care :D

A bunch of videos I forgot to post on here :)

I recently uploaded a couple of videos which I forgot to post on here :)
So here they go,
I hope you enjoy :)

Let me know what you think sweethearts :)

Catrice Ultimate Colour Lipstick 190 the nuder the better [review w/ swatches!!]

I have been trying out some Catrice lipsticks recebtly.
They have two lines: ultimate shine and ultimate colour.
The ultimate shine range doesn't appeal that much to me
because generally speaking,
they tend to have more frosty / shimmer finishes (which is something I don't like)
and they tend to be sheerer and glossier,
and I prefer more pigmented, less shiny lipsticks.

I currently own 4 Catrice lipsticks and I really really like them.
this is one I got in my goody bag at the Catrice launch which I was invited to :)

Awesome packaging,
closes thoroughly,
very sleek,
you get the name, hint of colour and number at the bottom,
glossy black packaging.
What's not to like?

Glides like a dream
Doesn't apply a thick heavy layer on the lips,
 Nice and creamy,
love it.

I wouldn't say you'd get maximum colour payoff in one swipe.
It usually takes me 2-3 swipes to get the colour I want..
but it's worth it.

very buildable,
and it doesn't look weird or thick on the lips when you do.

The finish is almost an in between of a cream finish to satin finish.
It has just the right amount of glossiness to it without being overly creamy

Pretty good.. I mean it's average.. around 3-4 hours.
But I don't mind reapplying..
as it's quite a forgiving shade and I don't feel I need a mirror
to make sure it has been applied perfectly.

A browned toned nude with peach undertones.
A MLBB shade.

I LOVE the formula of these lipsticks,
the packaging,
just everything about them is amazing.

The most thing I love about these,
is that when you have chapped lips,
they are quite forgiving and won't further dry out your lips.
I reach for them quite a lot and I HIGHLY recommend these!
These retail for €4.50for your reference :)

I hope you found this helpful guys,
Let me know what you think beloww,
