LIPSTICK DIARIES #30| NYX tea rose ! + ABOUT NYX round lipsticks !

Image
HEY DOLLS !

First of all .. HAPPY EASTER DOLLS !
My readers often ask me about NYX round lipsticks. I think they were the first bulk-lipstick order I ever made.  I had 14 of them but now I have less.
The question is always : are they worth getting? The answer is always: Yes, but not all.
Why? They vary in texture/ finish / pigmentation.  For example. some colours have a nice texture but a horrible finish.  Out of the colours I always recommend is this one in the shade TEA ROSE.  Why? because it is a mistake-proof rosy pink colour.  Here goes my look !

CATRICE Allround Concealer-Palette | review w/ swatches !

Image
HELLO GUYS!
I got this palette so long ago,  probably a year ago, or perhaps a bit less.  I don't remember if I read reviews on it or not,  but it was a best seller on the Catrice website so I assumed it was good.  But is it?

ABOUT THE PRODUCT So shade-wise you get 5 colours: 3 beige concealers verging  from fair, to medium, to tan. I would use the second one mixed with the first personally on  me for a brightened look.  I'll talk about these first. These need setting,  and yet they still crease,  even after setting,  so you have to touch this one up as a concealer,  but it's pretty decent. Coverage is medium, and it's not very buildable.
Then you also get a green concealer and a pink one.  The pink one is supposed to brighten your under eye area and the green one is supposed to cover any redness. But do they work? No, I don't find these work.   They are far too sheer, excessively creamy and sloppy,  need setting and need touching up.  They are sheerer than the …

False Eyelashes | Ebay | HT11 | review w/ photos !

Image
HEY DOLLS! I have another false eyelashes review today.  I got these lot from ebay from this seller HERE for £1.99 !
I love false eyelashes, I love buying them and wearing them, and I think they're awesome to glam up any look!
ABOUT THE FALSIES They have a black band, which I find makes it harder to apply.
The band is not flexible,
and these lashes are a bit plasticy -
I still like them lots though. I don't find them very flexible, so they're not the easiest to put on.  As false eyelashes, they're consistent and  have a good length to them, because they look quite natural.
BOTTOM LINE I definitely like these lashes,  I actually bought another 5,
but they are not very natural, so you'd need to work round these.
Anyway, that concludes this review ,  I hope you find this helpful and let me know what you think guys!  Dyna

ELF NEW studio small stipple brush | review ! + MY AWESOME GIVEAWAY!

Image
HELLO GUYS!

First of all I have a giveaway going on so go enter HERE:
It's a £200 - worth prize !

I love ELF brushes,  and by love,  I mean I looooooooooooooooove them! I love the ones I have and I love trying new ones too..
I got the ELF small stipple brush quite recently,  now the ELF stipple brush was the only brush from their studio line,  that failed to deliver, for me. But I still wanted to try this out.

You might want to check out the video below in which I featured this brush:

ABOUT THE PRODUCT As always, sleek packaging from ELF,  and very soft bristles.  It comes with those fibre optic type of bristles,  where the top is white and the rest is black. As a brush, I love this for cream blush,  especially with the ELF HD blush,  because it really sheers out the product and blends it effortlessly in my skin.
I also like to use it for liquid concealers, but I much prefer the ELF flawless concealer brush for that.  I also like to use this for powder blush, but I much prefer m…

False eyelashes | Colorful Online | #507 | review w/ photos !

Image
HEY DOLLS! I have another false eyelashes review today.  I got these lot from colorfulonline.com  I also got brushes from their website which you can read about HERE.
I love false eyelashes, I love buying them and wearing them, and I think they're awesome to glam up any look!

ABOUT THE FALSIES They have an invisible band to them,  which I like better than a black strip.  I don't find them very flexible, so they're not the easiest to put on.  As false eyelashes, they're consistent and  are a tad long for me, like all lashes from ebay, so I cut of a few mms off.  I love these lashes to add that natural length,  my clients love these too,  they look brilliant on the eyes.

BOTTOM LINE I definitely like these lashes,  I do recommend them, and this website carries some awesome falsies with free shipping,  these are out of stock at the moment,  but I'll definitely snatch another 10-pair box when they become available..   because I love them !
Anyway, that concludes th…

BLOGGER DO's or DON'Ts !

Image
HEY DOLLS !

I want to tell you about DOs or DON'Ts of being a blogger.
This is based on what I think,
and if you disagree,
or have anything to add -
feel free to use the comment section below.

#1.   If you discovered / found out / read about something from another blogger / guru .. DO share the love. It's only nice to thank someone for information that was passed on to you.
#2. If you want to use someone else's photo, DO share the link. If you don't it is not only unethical, it's illegal as it's considered stealing.
#3.  DO put a disclaimer on your blog / blog posts.. people like to know whether you've bought the product yourself and what is the reason behind your reviews. Being honest is the key to gaining your readers' trust. This is also something which should be done in the US due to FTC rules. (I'm not very informed about the subject, but I'm sure you'll find a lot of stuff about it if you google it.)

Catrice Ultimate Shine Lipstick in 140 Stop Light| review w/ swatches!

Image
HELLO GUYS! I'm head over heels in love with the Catrice Ultimate Colour lipstick range but they also have another range: the Ultimate Shine.  I only have one lipstick from this side of the collection, other than this one I will be reviewing today.  Overall this collection has too much frost too it,  and has a tad too much creaminess to it.  Read on to find out what I think about this lipstick.
ABOUT THE PRODUCT Comes in sleek, mirror-like packaging,  nothing to complain about here. Pretty impressed at first glance.  This lipstick has no shimmer and no frost and it has a creamy/ glossy finish to it  The shade is a blue toned red.  Overall it's a nice lipstick and has a nice smell.  But there's something I don't like in this lipstick.  It's too sloppy and applies too much product on the lips,  which makes the lipstick look a bit hard to wear.

BOTTOM LINE I love the colour, but I don't like the finish.  The texture is creamy, granted,  but it's too sloppy…

LIPSTICK DIARIES #29| Barry M Dolly Pink ! + what I think about individual lashes!

Image
HELLO GUYS!

I have another Lipstick Diaries post today!
I was going for a wearable dewy overall look,
and I was inspired by Other Side of Cool's post
to put on some individual lashes on.
I've only tried them on once,
and wasn't a huge fan.
I've applied them on other people before
and I have no problem with that
but on me, it's much harder to get them sticking the right way,
because they kind of shift to wherever they want when I blink which is annoying,
to say the least.
But I like them, and I will be experimenting more with them.
I even ordered 300 of them.

Anywho -
the lipstick in this look
is one of my favourites,
it's bright,
but wearable enough for daytime.
A beautiful blue toned barbie pink..
Just beautiful :)

Essence eyebrow stylist | review w/ swatches !

Image
HELLO GUYS! Last summer I picked up some eyebrow products to test out  on my brows.. and find a perfect match because I had been using dark colour on my brows,  and they started to look unnatural with my blonde hair.  This is one of the products I got.

ABOUT THE PRODUCT This is a dual-powder-shade type of thing.  You get a dark shade,  and a light shade.  I find the light shade suits blondes perfectly and the dark suits brunettes perfectly.  I used to use the light shade when my hair was blonde,  and when I darkened my hair I started using the dark side.  Now that my hair's lighter, I'm mixing the two or just sticking to dark,  depending on the look and my mood, I guess. The packaging on this is not all that nice. It comes on plastic type of packaging  that reminds me of chocolate holders in chocolate boxex,  not firm at all.  You also need to scoop everything out everytime you want to use this and this comes with an instruction manual and  3 eyebrow stencils too, which I n…
