MUA NEW Matte Foundation | Review w/ Swatches !

Image
HEY DOLLS ! As you might have noticed,  I've come around to reviewing my MUA products I got from the 50% OFF  they had a while back -  This foundation I got back then and I've definitely had enough time to fully test it out.  ABOUT THE PRODUCT This I would call more of a tinted moisturiser if anything -  it has sheer to light coverage  but UNLIKE good tinted moisturiser -  this does NOT boost my complexion.  It does nothing for my skin,  and even though it claims to last all day - it DOESN'T.  Even though it claims to be matte - it IS NOT.  It's a dewy foundation that definitely needs setting on my skin because I'd look like a shiny cannonball.  I have the shade NATURAL and it fits me quite well -  it has more of a yellow undertone to it but it's not a strong yellow tinge. Shade-wise it's perfect.

I used it in the following looks:

BOTTOM LINE I don't like this foundation. I tried loving this -  but everytime I used it - my face just didn't look f…

REAL TECHNIQUES Your Eyes / Enhanced Starter Set | Review !

Image
HEY DOLLS! As you might know Real Techniques is a  brand by Samantha Chapman aka Pixiwoo and she launched her own brush line,  which has become one of the highest raved brushes over the internet.  So, of course, I wanted some.  I got mine off iherb.com and the prices and shipping are very reasonable.  You also get some offers just for the first purchase.  I think I got a $10 off  The shipping was relatively cheap considering shipping is from US to Malta. ABOUT THE PRODUCT This comes in a case type of form, which I don't care for to be honest.  The brushes in this set:
Base Shadow Brush, Deluxe Crease Brush, Accent Brush, Pixel-Point Eyeliner Brush and Brow Brush - check out the photos for individual reviews.
Packaging is colour coded -  Pink is for finishing / setting brushes Blue is for eye brushes  and  Gold is for base brushes. You either find the packaging cute, or you find it rather cheap looking,  I personally find it cute.  The brush sizes vary depending on the type of …

ESSENCE Colour & Go Nail Polish in #129 The Boy Next Door | Review w/ Swatches !

Image
HEY DOLLS! This is probably my billionth Essence nail polish post. Ok I might have exaggerated in the "billionth" part.  But I have reviewed so many of these I actually lost count.  I honestly find Essence nail polishes so luring at the stand.  The new packaging is fabulous  and this one really caught my eye.

It's a metallic bright blue with what seems like a blue sheen.  Love it! As with all Essence polishes, this lasts great on my nails,  they start chipping around 3 days after application with no top coat which is good.  And this one only needed 2 coats for maximum colour payoff.
Essence nail polishes cost some 1.70 eur and you get 8 ml of product.

That's it for this post!
and till the next.. take care!

MUA Lip Booms in LMK and It's a Situation | Comparison Swatches !

Image
HEY DOLLS! Recently I've posted my review on the MUA lip booms and two of which were the shades LMK and It's a situation. Online it's tough to see the difference, but in person there's a huge difference.
The main differences between LMK and It's as situation are mainly colour intensity, undertone and finish.  LMK is the deepest out of the two, and it definitely has a purple undertone, It's a situation has a blue undertone.  It's a situation is totally matte, but LMK has very very very tiny shimmers in it (they don't really transfer when swatching).  That basically sums it up!  I hope you find this helpful - and let me know what you think! - Dyna xxx

MUA NEW E2 Eyeshadow Contour Brush | Review !

Image
HEY DOLLS !
MUA recently launched their own brush line  and with their 50% OFF I managed to get 3 of their brushes in stock.
This is their eyeshadow contour brush.

ABOUT THE PRODUCT They have glossy wands,  and the softness and make reminds me of my ELF studio brushes.  This eyeshadow contour brush is a fluffy angled brush. It's good to apply eyeshadow all over the eye  or apply some colour on the outer edge / crease.
BOTTOM LINE I don't reach for this that often,  but it's a pretty good eyeshadow brush.
I got this for £0.90 (WHAT A STEAL!) because I got this with the 50% OFF but it originally costs £1.75 from  www.muastore.co.uk.  Check out their fanpage HERE for promotional offers and updates! That's it for this post!
and till the next.. take care!

MUA Intense Eyeliner in Rich Brown | Review w/ Swatches !

Image
HEY DOLLS ! I have another eyeliner review from MUA. The shade is Rich Brown and it cost me £0.50 with the 50% OFF - it originally costs £1.

ABOUT THE PRODUCT It is creamy and quite pigmented, I definitely like that. It needs setting though and doesn't do much on the waterline, but I still like it. It has a sharpener cap which can be a good thing and a bad thing. It's definitely handy.. but it can dry out your eyeliner quicker because air flows through the sharpener cap. I like that the packaging reflects the shade, and the shade is a gorgeous shimmerless neutral brown.

BOTTOM LINE I definitely like this eyeliner especially to use as a base It's a delight to own and I definitely recommend it. Such a bargain!

VIVO Matte Lipstick in Deepest Plum | Review w/ Swatches !

Image
HEY DOLLS!

A couple of months ago I discovered VIVO cosmetics,  the underrated sister brand of MUA.  VIVO cosmetics is the better version of MUA,  in my opinion.  Generally speaking, the packaging's better,  the quality is a tad better and the colour selection is more my style than MUA.  I love MUA, don't get me wrong, but I think VIVO is a tad better.

ABOUT THE PRODUCT
I absolutely adore VIVO lip products.  They have so many gorgeous shades at a fantastic price and of great quality..  I'm just amazed.  And they recently launched new shades.  This lipstick is from their matte line, but this shade is anything but matte -  it has a creamy consistency,  that doesn't quite agree with the colour,  because it has consistency issues,  as you can see in the swatch.  The shade is a deep burgundy shade and is shimmerless.  You'd need multiple layers to get the maximum colour payoff.

BOTTOM LINE
I 'm not too keen on this lipstick because of the formula and the consiste…

GOOD THINGS Miracle Mattifier Moisturiser | Review w/ Swatches!

Image
HEY DOLLS! I'm a huge fan of good moisturisers, I have dry skin, so moisturisers are my best friends. They restore moisture and add hydration to my dry skin, so I definitely like to test out a good moisturiser.

ABOUT THE PRODUCT To be honest, I initially got this as a product I'll use during my freelance work, clients often don't moisturise their skin, I find. So I like to add a moisturiser in the mix so it will help prep the face for makeup. The problem with most moisturisers is that they leave an oily residue, or they don't set at all and leave the skin all shiny. This moisturiser doesn't. Even though it seems to be designed for oily skintypes, and I have a dry one at that, this seems to dry on its own rather quickly and help restore moisture and prep the face, without the oily residue and what not.

BOTTOM LINE I definitely like it, it smells amazing, and feels really nice on the skin. I don't use it daily, but it's a very good moisturiser to use prior t…
