ELF NEW studio angled blush brush | review!

HELLO GUYS!
ELF has quite recently launched a couple new ELF brushes, amongst other brushes.
This angled blush brush is one of them.
When I first saw this I just wanted to get my hands on it.

But.. did I like it?

Err. Not so much. Honestly.

I think this brush is of great quality,
but I bought this to use for applying bronzer and blush,
and this is a bit too dense for that.

I mean the brush DOES apply the product but you will need a
second brush to blend whatever you've applied because the brush is not fluffy enough.

The bristles are very soft, like all ELF studio brushes,
and the handle is sleek and you get the name of the brush on the handle.

I sometimes use this brush to apply highlight on my under eye area and cheekbone.

BOTTOM LINE
A nice brush, not a must have,
and it's okay,
I mean I still use it,
so it's not a brush I'm throwing away,
but it didn't wow me and I don't recommend it.

That's it for this review,
I hope you find it helpful
and till the next post.. take care!

Essence colour & go nail polish in #101 Absolute Pure | review w/ swatches !

HELLO GUYS!

So after the lame post I posted yesterday.
I had high fever, and am antibiotics today..
so I'm excused :D
I decided to go back to beauty blogging.
At the Bloggers' Event I was invited to
organised by PharmaMT (importers of Catrice and Essence)
we were introduced to the NEW and improved packaging of Essence nail polishes.

They hold more product now, (8ml vs 5ml)
and the packaging is more appealing.
They have reformulated the formula
so now it claims to have a gel-like finish without the need for a top coat.

They have kept the old shades,
and launched new ones too.

This is what happens when you lazy around and not wear a base coat. Yellow nails. Yuck! You can see how it looks like though..

I personally LOVE the new packaging!
It's far more appealing
and it's still quite tiny if you like to carry nail polishes in your bag.

The fact that it has more product
doesn't really affect me
because I hardly ever manage to use the whole nail polish before it dries up.

As for the formula.
It's basically the same.
I must admit it dries a bit faster than it used to.
and seems to be glossier.

As for colour payoff,
it varies from one nail polish to another.
This one, 101 Absolute Pure is clear so one coat is enough.
I like to use this as a base coat.

The wand is now better as well,
At least, I like it better.
The brush seems to be made of fibre bristles and it is quite sturdy.
It isn't too big, but it's bigger,
it's also flat and a bit fancier.
I like this brush better personally.

THE SHADE:
A clear nail polish

I hope this post was helpful,
and till the next post,
take care!

How to have a blast when you're sick !

HEY DOLLS!
Yes, as you might have guessed ..
I'm sick today,
I'm running a fever, I have a headache and I have a terrible cough.

YAY ME!

So, of course, I have to do a blog-post related to the subject.

This is a to do list for when you're sick:

#1 Internet is your doctor.

Yes, google your symptoms,
and before you know it,
you'll be thinking that you have
the worst of diseases
and that you only have a few days to live.

#2 Thermometer-buddy

Constantly check your temperature.
I don't know about you but I find thermometers quite fascinating.
So obviously I have to constantly check my temperature.
Because it's just a blast.

#3  You're the boss for the day

I love bossing people around when I'm sick,
telling them to fetch me this -
and do this and that for me.
Because goddammit, you're sick.

#4 Shop till you drop

Treat yourself with some online shopping.
Poor baby, you can't get to the shops,
so why not tell the shops to come to you.

#5 Full access to your TV

There's nothing like having the privilege to watch whatever
you want.
And if someone dares to change the channel,
well.. how dare they?? You're sick.

Huh. Oh well..
I'll probably edit a few videos today.
And if this post doesn't make sense,
blame it on the fever.
So bear with me.

 and till the next post,
take care!

OTHER TIPS

#1 Blog sales

If you'd like to snatch yourself a bargain
you might want to check out blog sales
if you don't mind getting products that have been used
and sterilised, they could be at a much cheaper price.
Sometimes you could also find brand new products that haven't been opened,
or have only been swatched.

#2 Customs issues

Be careful when you make big orders,
because you might have to pay custom fees.

For my Maltese viewers, anything outside of the EU
is subject to custom fees. Anything above 20 euros is subject to VAT,
and anything above 150 euros is subject to VAT and TAX.
This is as far as I know.
So if you're going to buy from overseas, I suggest making small orders.

Also. Cosmetics may be banned from one country to another
because of certain ingredients that a country might ban ..
for example.. Sleek eyeshadow palettes are banned from the US because of certain chemicals
in pigments.
Not because they're harmful, really.
It's just the policy of the country.

#3 EBAY

I buy Sleek, skinfood, Revlon and many other brands from ebay..
because I like to make small orders (small packets, due to the customs issues I mentioned above)
plus I sometimes want to get a few products from a certain website,
like Sleek - and it's not worth paying like 10 euros worth of shipping,
but that's just me.

That's it for this lengthy post
I'm sure this can answer many of your questions,
and if you have any other questions, feel free to bring them forward!
 Take care dolls!

Catrice Kohl Kajal in 120 We Found Nemo! | review w/ swatches !

HELLO GUYS!

I have yet another Catrice review today.
This product is quite interesting,
because from the moment I saw this, I thought this was a lip liner
or lip product of some sort.
I mean, seriously, scroll down and look at the lip swatch.

Ok. So I need you to understand, I have never used this product on my eyes.
(I know, I know, it's meant for the eyes. But it's just not my colour. )
So I don't care that this product is for the eyes,
I only use this on my lips.

PACKAGING
Packaging is a sharpening eye pencil
(obviously .. that's why I thought it was a lip pencil because it looks just like a lipliner)
I love that it shows the colour,
it's easier to find in your collection.
Words haven't worn off,
and it still looks like new.

TEXTURE
It glides effortlessly.
It's like a dream lip liner.
Slight problem though, I find this tends to separate over them,
so be careful with that.

FINISH
Matte

SHADE
A bright medium orange

LASTING POWER
3-4 hours .. then it needs to be reapplied and perfected

BOTTOM LINE
Great lipliner! Again, never used it for my eyes,
but I love it for the lips.
In case you're wondering, yes you can use an eyeliner for your lips as long as you don't lick / eat it,
because it's not designed to be digested.
I wouldn't use a lipliner on the eyes though,
it's not sensitive enough for the eyes.
But eyeliner on eyes.. I say .. why not?

I hope you find this review helpful guys!

Let me know what you thin below!

Catrice colour show colour and stay lipgloss in 050 Purple Reign | review w/ swatches !

HELLO GUYS!!
This is one of the lip products I got back when I was invited to the Catrice / Essence
bloggers event,
and it's been taking me that long to review their products because I got so many products to try out ,
so here we go.

PACKAGING
Sleek packaging,
words haven't worn off or anything like that and
I can't complain about the packaging.

TEXTURE
Really nice and creamy,
and it's not sticky at all.

SMELL
A really faint sugary sweet smell,
quite pleasant.

PIGMENTATION
Nicely pigmented

FINISH
Glossy finish,
no shimmer and no frost.

SHADE
A deep berry purple.

BOTTOM LINE
A lovely product,
the shade is not particularly my cup of tea,
and I much prefer lipsticks over glosses,
but it's a lovely product to have and definitely worth getting!

I hope you find this post helpful and let me know what you think!

MUA eyeshadow palette in Heaven and Earth | review w/ swatches !!

HELLO GUYS !

I got this palette in a Secret Santa Ordeal I had last year
but I only used it once.
Not because the palette is not nice, not at all,
I just tend to use more matte colours..

 So here's what I think:

PACKAGING
Really nice, sleek, round eyeshadows.

TEXTURE
Buttery smoothe,
Not too powdery

PIGMENTATION
Nicely pigmented, very impressed with the quality

FINISH
All eyeshadows have a frosty-shimmery-metallic finish

LASTING POWER
Lasts all day with a primer

BOTTOM LINE
It's a great eyeshadow palette if you like shimmery neutrals,
however,
I recently got their undressed palette and I much prefer that one over this one.

I hope you guys find this review helpful,
and let me know what you think..
till the next post,
take care!

Catrice LE Coolibri Collection Eyeshadow Pen in Virgin Forest | review w/ swatches!

HELLO GUYS !

I have so many products that I have yet to review
it's crazy,
but I love sharing my experience about products I have tried.

With my laptop dying on me,
it's become quite hard to keep up
so I will be posting as many reviews as I can in the coming days.

This review today is going to be about:
Catrice Eyeshadow Pen in Virgin Forest (Limited Edition: Coolibri Collection)

As soon as I saw this product I was lured to the colour because I do love my greens.

PACKAGING
Twist up packaging,
it's similar to an eyeliner but it is thicker than the traditional eyeliner,
it's more of a jumbo eye liner, actually.

TEXTURE
Smooth texture,
glides effortlessly.

PIGMENTATION
Very pigmented,
you can build it up, but you get a nice colour payoff with one swipe.

LASTING POWER
Lasts all day,
I don't feel the need to set it,
but you can if you want to,
I've used it as a base before,
and it works nicely too,
very blendable

FINISH
It's a satin finish with a sheen

SHADE
A frosty medium green.

In this look I paired Catrice's eyeshadow pens in virgin forest and birds fling high with Essence glitter eyeliner from the LE soul sista collection.

BOTTOM LINE
It's a shame these are limited edition,
they're great.
I have 2/ 4 colours but I know that the other 2 colours are beautiful, too.

I hope you guys find this review helpful
and let me know what you think below!
